On September 22nd, 2019, Tuscaloosa Police Investigator Dornell Cousette's funeral was held at Shelton State Community College. The funeral procession to his final resting place was an estimated seven miles long on the 43-mile route to New Salem Baptist Church in Aliceville. With a full military and police tribute, he was laid to rest at Unity Cemetery.
